Loan periods and charges: with effect from 1 July
2009
In accordance with the Library Charges (England and Wales)
Regulations, 1991, notice is given of charges made in the City of
London lending libraries:-

Three week loan
12 Adult Books: No loan charge
8 Children’s Books: No Loan charge
12 Music Sound Recordings: £1.20 per item or boxed set when issued
or renewed
2 CD-ROMs: £1.80 per item or boxed set when issued or renewed
One week loan
12 Music Sound
Recordings: £0.40 per item or boxed set when issued or
renewed
6 DVDs: £2.75 per item or boxed set when issued or renewed
NB the hire charge for Children's DVDs is £1.50 per item per
week
8 Videos: £1.50 per item or boxed set when issued or renewed
There is no loan charge for educational CD-ROMs, DVDs or
videos.
Overdue charges
Books, Music Sound
Recordings, Spoken WOrd Recordings and CD-ROMs:
£0.17 per item per day
Videos: £0.50 per item per day
DVDs: £1.00 per day except Educational DVDs - the daily overdue
charge for these is £0.50
Reservations
The cost of reserving an item is £1.00
Reservations are only accepted for CDs, CD-ROMs, videos and DVDs
which are already in stock.
Renewals
Unless reserved by another library member all items are renewable
five times by telephone, by email or via the
website.
Voucher books
These are available for DVDs, videos and music items, at a discount
as follows:
DVDs: £24.00 for 10 vouchers
Videos: £13.00 for 10 vouchers
Music Sound Recordings: £7.00 for 20 vouchers.
Lost Library Card
The cost of a replacement Library Card is £1.50.
Photocopying charges
A4 black & white: £0.10
A3 black & white: £0.20
A4 colour: £1.00
A3 colour: £2.00
Internet & CD-ROM print out charges
A4 Black & white: £0.10
A4 colour: £0.30
Carrier bags and Floppy Disks
Carrier bags: £0.10 each
Floppy disks: £0.50 each
USB sticks: £10.00
Sale of Withdrawn Items
Price according to
age and condition.
Replacement charge for lost or damaged
items
Charge according to cost of replacement.
Publications for sale
Certain publications
are available for sale at Barbican Library and Camomile Street
Library at various prices.
The above charges are inclusive of Value Added Tax,
where applicable.
