Lending libraries membership

Membership criteria

Anyone can join a City of London Lending Library. All you need to do is provide current proof of your name and home address.

Borrowers may enroll their children as members. Arrangements can sometimes be made for visitors to the City to join.

If you already have a membership card for one of the City's lending libraries you do not need to join again to use the other two. Your membership card is valid at all three.

Please follow the link to the libraries membership form

If you want to keep items longer than normal, you may also do so provided no one else is waiting for them, either by bringing them back to the library and borrowing them again or by renewing them by post, telephone or email. If you need an item for a sixth loan period, you must bring it in to the library to have it issued. You will be charged another loan fee for each music sound recording and video you renew.
