Disabled people - parking permits

Disabled parking space Due to the pressure on parking, the concessions offered by the national Blue Badge Scheme do not apply in the City of London, Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and the southern part of Camden. Blue badge holders cannot park on yellow lines, but should use pay and display bays (subject to the normal charges and times) or one of the 206 dedicated disabled parking bays. Most disabled bays allow four hours parking. Some permit six hours parking at any time as indicated on the list below.

Red Badge Scheme

Introduced to meet the needs of disabled City residents and workers, the scheme offers extra disabled parking facilities within the City. Red badge holders are allowed free parking on pay and display bays and can wait for a maximum period of 30 minutes on a single yellow line where a loading ban is not in force. The red badge is only available to City residents and workers. Click on the appropriate link to download
