Health and social care

The City Of London, together with City and Hackney Teaching Primary Care Trust and other partner agencies, provides health and community care services for all residents and employees across the Square Mile.

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)

The JSNA is the process by which Local Authorities and Primary Care Trusts document and describe the future health, care and well being needs of the local population. This need will inform Commissioning strategies, the Local Area Agreement and the Sustainable Communities Strategy (the City Together). The duty to undertake a JSNA is set out section 116 of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act (2007).

The City Of London and City and Hackney Teaching Primary Health Care Trust have begun work on the 2008–2009 JSNA. Further details are available of the NHS website.

If you are a service provider in the City you are welcome to attend a JSNA stakeholder taking place on the 31 July,
