The Jenner Bequest Trust

The origins of The Jenner Bequest lie in the gift given, under the Will of the late Mr Reginald Jenner, of his residuary estate to “the Lord Mayor of London’s Fund for the benefit of widows and orphans of Freemen of the City of London”.

In order to be eligible to apply for assistance from the Jenner Bequest Trust, the applicant must be the widow or the orphan of a Freeman of the City of London and demonstrate evidence of hardship or necessity

In order to consider each application, it will be necessary to obtain

(a) evidence of the applicant’s spouse or parent being deceased (eg, death certificate, etc.)

(b) evidence that the applicant’s deceased spouse or parent was a Freeman of the City of London; and

(c) evidence of hardship or necessity (this could be, for example, evidence of being in receipt of state benefits).
