Chicago Graduate School of Business opens London campus
“This MBA is about the quality of programme and
relationships. What better place to be than London when it
comes to relationships? There are global companies here. It’s so
productive”
- Ted Snyder, Dean,
Chicago
Graduate School of Business.
In August 2005, Executive MBA classes began at the new London
campus of the University of Chicago Graduate School of
Business. Ninety-one executives representing 37 countries in
Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America enrolled
in the school’s 12th executive MBA program in Europe, the first
using the school’s new London campus.
Arnold Longboy, Director, Corporate Relations & Recruitment
at Chicago GSB commented, “The City of London Corporation was
instrumental in helping us relocate our campus to the City. One of
the main attractions to locating here was to take advantage of its
high concentration of corporate headquarters. The synergies
with other London based companies are numerous. Although the
primary focus of the campus will be our Executive MBA program, we
plan to explore offering seminars, non-degree programs, and
specialised certificate programs to benefit individual
professionals and companies in London.”
The new London campus is located at Woolgate Exchange, 25
Basinghall Street. The location in London’s financial
district creates an ideal situation for the students, faculty, and
alumni. With some of world’s greatest brokerages, insurance
companies, law firms, and banks as neighbours, it offers more
opportunities to meet and hear from business leaders as well as
organise special seminars and more effectively promote career
development activities.
The School plans to build close relationships with the London
business community through speaking opportunities, educational
programs, and consulting opportunities. As a result, the
School expects to build better relationships with companies to hire
graduates, and send students to the Executive MBA part time
program.
